SBC SPEAKER BIO: RYAN MCDONOUGH

Ryan McDonough is currently with Audacy as an NBA Insider and Podcaster hosting numerous shows including the Audacy NBA Show. 

Before joining Radio.com, Ryan was the General Manager of the Phoenix Suns from 2012-2018. During his tenure in Phoenix Ryan helped the Suns in his first year improve their record by 23 wins and was the runner up for NBA General Manager of the Year to R.C. Buford. 

Prior to working with the Suns, McDonough spent 10 years with the Boston Celtics serving as a the Director of International Scouting and Assistant General Manager. In the 2007-08 season McDonough would get an NBA Finals Championship with the Celtics. When Ryan was a scout he helped the Celtics Front Office Identify future All-Star Rajon Rondo and Avery Bradley. 

Ryan McDonough attended the University of North Carolina to be a broadcaster but after working in the Celtics video room his plans changed and he said he envisioned himself as an NBA GM.
